Amor Ai (she/they)

Hello! I’m an incoming PhD student in the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society (IDSS) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Prior to MIT, I was an IRiSS predoctoral researcher with the Immigration Policy Lab and Stanford’s Department of Political Science. There, I worked with Jens Hainmueller and contributed to the research and end-to-end development of GeoMatch: a machine learning algorithm that matches people to places where they are most likely to thrive.

My research interests lie at the intersection of behavioral science, data science, and decision-making. In my free time, I enjoy tackling data-driven questions and building apps that visualize insights in the sports analytics space.

Previously, I was a part of the Data-Driven-Diversity Lab and worked as a data scientist for a professional sports team.
